We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Artisan (Maintenance Technician) to inspect, maintain, and repair equipment within our plant. The role includes performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting faults, and executing shutdown work. This position aligns with world-class manufacturing (WCM) principles and practices to enhance plant efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications
• Matric/Grade 12 (with Mathematics and Science)
• N2 or N3 Engineering qualification
• Trade-Specific Artisan (Red Seal) – Electrical
Experience
• 2-5 years’ experience in a maintenance environment as an Artisan
Key Responsibilities
OHS Act Compliance
• Ensure statutory compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.
Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) Improvement
• Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and strategic maintenance work.
• Perform strategic fault finding and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure proper spares procurement and usage.
• Report downtime incidents for strategic equipment.
Quality Control (QC) for PPM
• Conduct over-inspections to ensure high maintenance standards.
• Manage and update PPM schedules.
• Provide PPM quality control feedback for continuous improvement.
5S Implementation
• Drive 5S principles to maintain a well-organized and efficient work environment.
