Fitter Position at County Fair – Join Our Team at Fisantekraal
County Fair, a division of Astral Operations Limited, is seeking a qualified and experienced Fitter to join our team at the Primary Processing Plant in Fisantekraal, Western Cape. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a leading company in the food industry.
Key Responsibilities of the Fitter Position
The primary focus of the Fitter position is to ensure the preventative and routine maintenance of mechanical processing equipment, as well as fault-finding and repairs. As a member of our maintenance team, your duties will include:
Key Duties:
- Perform general machining work in the workshop.
- Conduct preventative and routine maintenance on mechanical processing equipment.
- Attend to unscheduled processing interruptions caused by equipment breakdowns.
- Install and maintain processing equipment.
- Ensure effective plant maintenance.
- Adhere to HACCP, Risk Control, and housekeeping rules.
Required Qualifications and Experience
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience criteria:
Qualifications:
- A completed N3 Mechanical qualification.
- A Trade Certificate as a Fitter & Turner.
Experience:
- At least 5 years FMCG factory maintenance experience.
- Experience with mechanical maintenance and repairs of poultry processing and rendering plant equipment is a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).
