About the Eskom YES Opportunity
The Youth Employment Service (YES) is a public-private initiative supported by the Presidency to help address youth unemployment in South Africa. Through this initiative, Eskom is creating work opportunities for unemployed young people who are ready to enter the workplace and gain meaningful first work experience.
Applicants who successfully complete the recruitment process will receive a 12-month contract and may be placed within Eskom Operations across different divisions and provinces.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the Eskom YES X25 Internship, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be between 18 and 34 years old.
- Have Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.
- Have post-Matric certificates or programmes where applicable.
Selection Criteria
Applicants must meet the following YES programme requirements:
- Must not have been permanently employed by a single employer continuously for more than one year.
- Must not be studying full-time during the year of employment.
- Must not have previously participated in or registered for the YES initiative.
- Successful applicants will go through a recruitment process before placement.
- Candidates who are successful may be placed in Eskom Operations across different divisions and locations in South Africa.
