Gold Fields Group Services is offering an exciting Engineering Learnership Programme (Millwright) at South Deep Gold Mine.
This programme is designed for individuals who want to build a career in engineering and mining, gaining both practical workplace experience and technical training to qualify as a Millwright Artisan.
About the Learnership Programme
The Engineering Learnership (Millwright) combines:
- Practical, on-the-job training
- Accredited technical training (MQA-aligned)
- Skills development for long-term career growth
This programme equips learners with the expertise needed to succeed in the mining and engineering industry.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must have:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science
- Full N3 qualification including:
- Engineering Mathematics
- Engineering Science
- Relevant Trade Theory
- Engineering Drawing (Mechanical) OR Industrial Electronics
- Millwright-specific requirement:
- 2 Trade Theory subjects at N3 level (Electrical & Fitting)
- Plus 3 additional related subjects
- Must be medically fit (including Heat Tolerance Screening)
