Samancor Eastern Chrome Mines is offering a valuable engineering learnership opportunity designed to empower internal candidates with technical skills, practical experience, and nationally recognized trade qualifications. - Engineering Fitter
- Boilermaker
- Electrician
- Diesel Mechanic

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum entry requirements to be considered for the Samancor engineering learnership program:
- A Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate with Mathematics and Science
OR - A relevant NTC 2 Certificate or higher qualification
OR - A Level 4 NQF Certificate from a recognized FET College
In addition to the above, candidates must also meet these academic and documentation requirements:
- Certified and authenticated copies of all qualifications must be submitted
- Must have successfully completed the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Engineering Science
- Relevant Trade Theory
- Engineering Drawing
- A minimum mark of 40% in Mathematics and Science is required
Health and experience requirements include:
- Must obtain a valid Medical Certificate of Fitness for working in mines
- Previous engineering or operational experience will be advantageous but is not mandatory

Training and Learnership Structure

- Training will be delivered through SETA-accredited training providers

- The program duration is a maximum of 36 months, depending on the trade and progress
