Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this Cleaner job in Gauteng, applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Minimum Grade 10 / ABET Level 4 / Equivalent qualification
• Basic numeric literacy
• Good communication skills
• Sound human relations and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and function effectively in a team
• Willingness to rotate shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and night shifts
• Willingness to rotate between departments within the institution
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
• Willing to comply with Occupational Health and Safety requirements, including wearing protective clothing
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for the following hospital cleaning duties:
• Mopping and stripping floors
• Cleaning doors, windows, toilets, beds, steps, and fridges
• Dusting furniture and window sills
• Operating cleaning equipment such as polisher machines
• Using cleaning chemicals correctly and safely
• Assisting with additional duties as instructed by the supervisor
