About the Engineering Learnership Programme

Valterra Platinum is offering an exciting Engineering Learnership Programme (18.2 – Unemployed) at the Mogalakwena Mine.

This programme is designed for young, ambitious individuals looking to gain practical engineering experience within the mining industry.

• A nationally recognised Artisan Qualification upon successful completion

• Electrician × 2

• Boilermaker × 1

• Mechanical Fitter × 2

• Rigger × 2

• Diesel Mechanic × 2

• Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic × 1

• Auto Electrician × 2

• Millwright × 2

• Measurement Control & Instrumentation × 1

Minimum Entry Requirements

Option 1: Grade 12 (Matric)

• Mathematics (NOT Maths Literacy) – 40%+

• Physical Science – 40%+

• English – 40%+

Option 2: N3 Certificate

N3 must match your chosen discipline:

• Boilermaker Plater: Plating & Structural Steelwork, Welders Theory, Structural Steelwork Drawings

• Electrical: Electrical Trade Theory / Electrotechnology / Electrotechnics & Industrial Electronics

• OR Engineering Drawings

Option 3: NCV Level 4

• Relevant trade

• All subjects passed with 40%+

Mandatory Documents

• Certified copies of qualifications

• Certified South African ID

• Host community applicants: Proof of residence with tribal office or municipal stamp
