Job Overview
The Artisan Assistant will support qualified artisans with fabrication, welding, fitting, and maintenance tasks. The position requires mechanical aptitude, metalwork experience, and the ability to work safely in an industrial environment.
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a mechanical or fabrication environment
• Experience in boilermaking, welding (arc/MIG/TIG), and fitting
• Skilled in grinding, cutting, drilling, and assembling metal components
• Basic electrical knowledge (advantageous)
• Trade certificate (Boilermaker, Fitter, or Welder) will be an advantage
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards
