About the Role
PEP is seeking a Finance Clerk (Imports) to handle all payment processes related to imported goods, ensuring accurate cost calculations and maintaining proper financial controls. The successful candidate will be responsible for supplier reconciliations, payment processing, and general financial administration within the Imports department.
Key Responsibilities
• Reconcile creditor and suspense accounts
• Process financial import claims and penalties
• Handle open account (TT) and Letter of Credit (LC) payments
• Capture and process invoices accurately
• Arrange payments to service providers
• Complete costing calculations for imported goods
• Maintain and update supplier documentation
• Perform general administrative and finance support tasks
Job Requirements
• Grade 12 (with Accounting) – essential
• A Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance – advantageous
• Relevant finance or import administration experience – advantageous
• Computer literacy (MS Office)
• Strong numerical and analytical aptitude
