Position Purpose
The Sector Specific Trainee (SST) Programme is a 12-month workplace training initiative designed to equip students and recent graduates with hands-on experience in the logistics and transport sector. Participants will gain practical exposure, mentorship, and industry knowledge to enhance their employability in the fast-paced port and logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
Task Execution
• Assist in departmental projects and workstreams.
• Perform routine operational duties under supervision.
• Support administrative functions, including documentation and reporting.
Learning & Development
• Participate in structured training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programmes.
• Shadow senior professionals to gain industry insights.
• Engage in problem-solving tasks to sharpen analytical skills.
Communication & Collaboration
• Provide progress updates on assigned tasks and projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve set objectives.
Compliance & Safety
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Uphold ethical, professional, and confidentiality requirements.
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)
• TVET N6 in Logistics/Transport (Advantageous)
• South African youth aged 18–35 years

• Self-motivated with a service-oriented mindset
