Purpose of the Role
As an Electrician Apprentice, you will receive structured practical and theoretical training under the guidance of experienced artisans. Over time, your responsibilities and technical knowledge will grow as you move closer to becoming a fully qualified electrician.
Responsibilities
Practical Training:
• Perform tasks as assigned by qualified technicians
• Assist in the fitting, maintenance, and repair of electrical components
• Clean and maintain tools and equipment
• Apply practical knowledge gained in training to real work situations
• Complete required practical training modules
Theoretical Training:
• Attend training sessions, workshops, and classroom lectures
• Complete technical subjects and assessments
• Translate theory into hands-on application in the workshop
Minimum Requirements
To apply for this apprenticeship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
• N3 certificate or technical subjects at Grade 12 level (advantageous)
• Strong manual and mechanical skills
• Good numeracy and decision-making skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and flow networks
• Proficiency in Afrikaans and/or English (written and spoken)
• Medically fit for physical work and workshop duties
