About the Apprenticeship
Cani Rusks, in collaboration with FoodBev SETA, invites unemployed South African youth to apply for a fully funded Millwright Apprenticeship Programme in 2025. This opportunity is ideal for passionate, hands-on individuals with a strong interest in both mechanical and electrical systems.
The programme provides a structured path that combines classroom-based theoretical training with real-world, on-the-job experience, ultimately leading to a nationally recognized Trade Test qualification as a Millwright Artisan.
What You’ll Learn
• Installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment
• Practical, hands-on training in a food production facility
• Trade theory supported by FoodBev SETA
• Workplace mentorship by experienced artisans and engineers
Minimum Requirements
• South African citizenship
• Currently unemployed
• Matric certificate with Mathematics and Physical Science (minimum pass)
• Technical subjects or N2–N4 qualifications are advantageous
• Strong interest in mechanical and electrical systems
• Commitment to complete the 3–4 year apprenticeship programme
