Position Overview
The City Health Department is seeking to appoint two (2) General Workers to support daily operational functions, including collection, delivery, and basic maintenance services. This opportunity is open to all categories of applicants.
Job Level & Remuneration
- Job Level: T1
- Salary Scale: R152,304.00 – R178,008.00 per annum
- Estimated Total Package: R225,789.00 – R258,505.00 per annum
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the collection and delivery of goods to various clinics
- Clean and maintain official vehicles used by the Health Department
- Carry out general support tasks as directed by departmental supervisors
Minimum Requirements
- Basic literacy (reading and writing)
- Ability to perform physical duties effectively
- Previous experience as a general worker in the health sector will be an added advantage
- Must be physically fit and healthy
- Willing to undergo vetting and fingerprint verification (cost to be covered by the applicant)
- Must be flexible with placement—successful candidates may be assigned to any location within the city as required
