SA Power Services is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to train as an Electrical Apprentice. This hands-on position provides valuable experience in the electrical trade, working under supervision to develop essential skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in electrical, electronic, and mechanical repairs.
• Support electrical installations and maintenance tasks.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and codes.
• Test electrical components for continuity, voltage, and resistance.
• Install, repair, and replace AC/DC motors, drives, transformers, and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system testing.
• Ensure proper wiring and connections to avoid hazardous conditions.
• Follow industry safety standards and regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
• Option 1: National Senior Certificate (Matric/Grade 12) with strong results in Mathematics, Physical Science, and Technical Drawings.
• Option 2: N2 or N3 Technical Certificate with Grade 12-level language subjects, including Mathematics, Industrial Electronics, Electrical Trade Theory, and Engineering Science.
