Job Description
Under the supervision of the Plant Manager/Senior Technician, manufacturers precipitated carbonate and other related products for use by the host paper mill.
Required outputs: functional
Participates in the sites Safety Programme to ensure that Environmental, health and safety of personnel is maintained.
Manage operational duties which include operating plant field equipment and interfacing from a computer-controlled workstation, directing maintenance and contractors for maintenance activities.
Conducts all Quality assurance by use of SPC, analysis and testing of raw materials and products, lab instrument calibrations, in line with local procedures.
Contribute to the overall operations Excellence Programme, which include 5S , standard work, lean improvements.
Works on a rotating shift basis
Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Respond to callout after hour for all plant support

Qualifications & Experience
Preferable qualification – qualified electrician or other electrical field.
Other tertiary qualification in either chemical or mechanical may be considered.
