In this role, you will be responsible for:
• Assisting in the engineering department with maintenance-related tasks and repair work.
• Reporting to the Artisan for operational and functional duties.
• Working independently from time to time.
• Reporting any safety-related issues to the Artisan.
• Ensuring achievement of sustainable production targets through executing delegated tasks.
• Identifying faults and reporting them to the Artisan.
• Complying with the company’s HSEC system.
Requirements:
• Grade 12.
• Full N2 certificate (4 subjects, including relevant trade theory).
• Relevant Engineering Aid certificate (advantageous).
• At least 2 years of experience in an underground mining environment.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Medically fit to work underground.
• Good knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act and relevant legislation.
