Job Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Engineering Assistant to support our artisans and engineering supervisors with essential maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
Key Responsibilities
As an Engineering Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment by:
• Assisting artisans and engineering supervisors with maintenance and repair activities
• Lifting, holding, and positioning parts and materials using manual or mechanical tools
• Supporting component dismantling and reassembly tasks
• Loading and offloading materials and equipment safely
• Moving materials to and from designated storage or work areas
• Assisting during installations and equipment breakdowns
• Performing routine housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and safety
• Acting as a safety observer when instructed, such as checking for fires or pipeline leaks
Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualifications
• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
Experience & Skills
• At least 1 year of experience in the mining or engineering industry (preferred)
• Knowledge of mining safety protocols and workplace procedures
• English language proficiency (spoken and written)
• Basic time management and task execution skills
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
• Work with an industry leader in mineral processing operations
