Job Description

  • Prepare batch start-up, ensuring plant section safety and proper documentation
  • Manufacture blends in blenders and reaction batches in reactors
  • Strictly adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Communicate accurate information to Team Leaders and Laboratory personnel
  • Safely isolate plant and equipment during maintenance following relevant procedures
  • Stencil polycans and label all packaging containers
  • Load and offload tankers
  • Transfer products to and from storage tanks
  • Monitor effluent levels
  • Manage and separate waste materials
  • Operate a forklift and hoist
  • Conduct risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards

Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric
  • Chemical Operations NQF 3
  • Forklift licence
  • 3 years of experience in a chemical plant
  • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Must be able to work shifts
