Job Description
- Prepare batch start-up, ensuring plant section safety and proper documentation
- Manufacture blends in blenders and reaction batches in reactors
- Strictly adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Communicate accurate information to Team Leaders and Laboratory personnel
- Safely isolate plant and equipment during maintenance following relevant procedures
- Stencil polycans and label all packaging containers
- Load and offload tankers
- Transfer products to and from storage tanks
- Monitor effluent levels
- Manage and separate waste materials
- Operate a forklift and hoist
- Conduct risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards
Qualifications & Experience
- Matric
- Chemical Operations NQF 3
- Forklift licence
- 3 years of experience in a chemical plant
- Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Must be able to work shifts
