Role Overview:
Bombela Maintenance is currently looking to recruit a Trainee Technician to support our production team. This role is essential in ensuring the safe, reliable operation of trains through preventative maintenance and repair work, meeting the high standards expected by our customers.
Location:
Gautrain Maintenance Depot, Midrand, Johannesburg
Key Responsibilities:
• Adhere to safety and quality regulations at all times
• Assist in performing Preventative Maintenance tasks
• Support Corrective Maintenance efforts as needed
• Conduct basic MAXIMO/SAP administrative tasks
• Ensure proper use of materials, tools, and equipment
• Demonstrate effective teamwork and self-management skills
• Be willing to work shifts, including weekends, nights, overtime, and public holidays
Qualifications:
• S4 or N6 National Certificate (excluding P1 & P2)
• Prior experience in rail or production is an advantage
• Physically fit and robust
• South African citizenship
• Ability to work at heights and see in color
• Good hearing (must tolerate noise exposure)
