Rand Water is looking for a candidate to assist with electrical installations, pumpstations and equipment within the Electrical Department and to assist with day-to-day maintenance of all electrical equipment, new installations and repair of breakdowns throughout the distribution network to an acceptable standard.Minimum Requirements
Grade12/equivalent/ N2 Electrical.
+2 years experience in an electrical environment or Abet Level 4 +5 years’ experience in an electrical environment.
Basic knowledge of electrical principles.
Ability to do electrical repairs on lights, plugs, stoves, geysers,electrical appliances, submersible pumps.
Basic knowledge of safety.
Driver’s licence.
Ability to do standby.
Primary Duties
Assist with planned maintenance repairs and breakdown repairs to electrical plant and equipment.
Assist with routine inspections and service of plant and equipment.
Assist with electrical installations.
Minor Electrical Supplies.
Safety Awareness.
Knowledge
Basic knowledge of safety.
Basic knowledge of electrical principles.
Skills
Good communication skills.
