Electrician Helper

Planning and Maintenance

• Punctual adherence to site specific time schedule/shift times.
• Attend safety discussions.
• Perform tasks according to the issued worksheets.
• Assist in the maintenance and repairs of all electrical equipment.
• Keep tools safe.
• Assist with any electrical repairs when required.

Health and Safety

• Adhere to written workplace safety procedures.
• Wear the appropriate PPE for each specific task.
• Ensure that all safety and emergency procedures are followed in accordance with site-specific training and standards.
• Ensure that all team members are prepared to deal with an emergency.
• Report and record unsafe acts, conditions and incidents.
• Ensure a good climate for industrial relations.
• Participate in all training-related activities.

Inspection and Reporting

• Identify and prioritise equipment in need of maintenance and repairs.
• Assist in conducting inspections on all plant equipment/tools.
• Assist the line manager with writing reports on any identified deficiencies in the area of responsibility.
• Report all defects and faults to the Foreman.

Housekeeping

• Practice good maintenance in all work areas.
• Clean tools.
• Store equipment properly.
